Rosenberg & Rodriguez Annual Scholarship
“Real Stories: The Ripple Effect of Negligence”
Rosenberg & Rodriguez is proud to support the next generation of thoughtful, community-minded students through our annual scholarship program.
As personal injury attorneys, we see firsthand how negligence affects victims, families, and communities. Our goal is to inspire young people across the country to understand the importance of responsibility, safety, and justice.
About the Award
Each year, we award:
- One (1) Grand Prize Scholarship of $2,000
- Two (2) Runner-Up Scholarships of $500 each
Scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipient’s college or university bursar, eliminating any administrative burden for the student.
This program is open to high school seniors anywhere in the United States who plan to enroll in a public or private college or university in the Fall of 2026.
Project Prompt
“Real Stories: The Ripple Effect of Negligence”
Interview someone who has suffered an injury due to negligence — or reflect on your own experience if you were a victim — such as a motor vehicle crash, slip and fall, construction accident, or other preventable accident. With permission (or anonymization), write a reflective essay of 400 to 600 words exploring:
- The Story: What happened, and what caused the injury?
- The Impact: Physical, emotional, financial, family-related, or educational effects.
- Responsibility: What actions or failures contributed to the injury?
- Prevention: Realistic measures that could prevent similar incidents.
- Lessons Learned: How this story shaped your understanding of safety and justice.
Students are encouraged to alter names and identifying details to protect the privacy of their interview subject.
